Ginger lightly toasted. A true story. We went to the zoo yesterday. We saw about half of the animals over a 4 hour stretch. The sun was hot, but it wasn't too humid, but I am out of shape so there was a lot of sweat. Before we even left the van I had applied plenty of sunscreen to my face, ears, arms and neck/chest. Unfortunately, my reach wasn't quite enough for the tank top I had on, there is about a 1-inch strip of burned skin on each shoulder blade showing exactly how far I could reach by myself with the sunscreen and how much farther I SHOULD have reached because of the shape of the back of that tank top. Next time, JR will help me out there.

Dear Goodreads: Thank you for your recommendations lists. They open new authors to me every week. They would do this every day, but the reserve function at my public library doesn't have that fast a turn around. Also, you have helped my public library realize that some of their "checked in" books are actually "missing". New this week: Kat Richardson, Kresley Cole, and Kalayna Price. I think I wouldn't make a good reviewer because most of my impressions of books are LOVE, like, or ok. There may have been two books ever in my history of reading novels that I didn't finish. And I was so unimpressed with those two, that I can't remember their title, subject or author. So for all I know it was the same book twice. Earlier today I finished the Iron Duke by Meljean Brooks. Right now I am reading Poltergeist, by Kat Richardson. Next up is Underground, also by Kat Richardson. Alien Diplomacy by Gini Koch is waiting for me at the library.
