Eventually every mother gains this extra sense. It lets us know when an offspring of ours is jumping on our bed upstairs, its how we know who wrote that word on the wall, and its how we know that the sound of the glass candy jar lid coming off from under the table means that SOMEBODY is attempting to sneak a piece of candy without our knowledge. Silly kids.
